This privacy policy explains how CalmiPet ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Tore Commerce, Kruisweg 965, 2132 CD Hoofddorp, Netherlands, collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our store or buy from us. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if provided), and any messages you send us.
  • Order information: the products you buy, order amounts and order history. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device, pages you view and how you arrived at our store, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

  • To process and deliver your order, send order and shipping updates, and handle returns or refunds.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support.
  • To prevent fraud and keep our store secure.
  • To improve our store and understand which products and ads are useful.
  • To show you relevant ads and send marketing emails, but only where you have agreed or where the law allows. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (orders), our legitimate interests (security, store improvement, customer service), your consent (marketing and non-essential cookies) and compliance with legal obligations (accounting and tax).

3. Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store.
  • Payment providers (for example Shopify Payments and PayPal).
  • Our fulfilment partner and shipping carriers, who need your name, address and contact details to pack and deliver your order.
  • Advertising and analytics partners (for example Meta/Facebook and Instagram), to measure and improve our ads.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies (including the Meta Pixel) to make our store work, remember your cart, understand how our store is used and measure our advertising. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can change your cookie preferences in our cookie banner or your browser settings at any time.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
